Charity ride to commemorate our #ChibokGirls missing for one year
Mr Opeyemi “Yemozy” Oyekoya, a Nigerian cyclist is commencing a charity bicycle ride from Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire today, Friday 3 April 2015, to terminate in Lagos, Nigeria on Wednesday 14 April 2015.
14 April 2015 will be exactly one year since 276 schoolgirls of Government Secondary School Chibok were abducted in their school by terrorists on 14 April 2014. 57 escaped but 219 remain missing.
This charity ride is aimed at creating awareness of this plight, and calling the world’s attention to it. It also tallies with our Global Week of Action 8 – 14 April 2015, with the theme: #ChibokGirls #NeverToBeForgotten.
