Empire State Building lit up to commemorate the Chibok Girls
On the night of 14 April 2015, thanks to the partnership of #BringBackOurGirlsNYC and Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney, US Representative for New York’s 12th congressional district, the world-famous Empire State Building in New York City was lit Red and Purple in honour and memory of our #ChibokGirls.
Red is the #BringBackOurGirls colour (for the meaning see: www.bringbackourgirls.ng/about-us-2/what-is-bring-back-our-girls/).
Purple is for ending violence against women.
